Donald Anthony Cavaleri died October 16, 2011,
at his home in Panama City Beach, Florida.

He was surrounded by his loving family: his wife of 48 years and soul mate, Ann, sons Kyle and Chad, their wives Heather and Stacie, and grandchildren Ashleigh, Noah, Devon and Danielle.

He is also survived by his father, Ross and wife Helen Cavaleri of Omaha, Nebraska, his brother Jack and wife Tracey Cavaleri of San Antonio, Texas, as well as a supportive extended family and numerous friends across the country.

Don was born to Ross J. and Lois (deceased) Cavaleri on July 7, 1941 in Omaha. During his long career in broadcasting he and his business partner, Steve Kushner, acquired and managed radio stations in Nebraska, West Virginia, Maryland and Florida.

In addition to his passion for radio, Don loved hunting, fishing, golf, travel and Nebraska football. Time spent with family and grandchildren was always of prime importance. But what most defined Don was the unique partnership he maintained with his beloved Ann.

His honor, loyalty, and kindness were matched by his irreverence and wicked sense of humor. Everyone has a funny and affectionate Don Cavaleri story that will carry on his legacy.

A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 23, 2011, at Kent-Forest Lawn Chapel, 2403 Harrison Avenue, Panama City, FL. The family will receive friends at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 23, 2011.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Covenant Hospice, 107W 19th St. Panama City, FL 32405.
